Why have a dog which rolls around in it’s own muck, when you could have a feline companion that you don’t have to bathe, and does it itself? A cat will come to greet you when you arrive home from work, then resume it’s ritual of sleeping and personal grooming. A dog however would jump all over you and knock over furniture. A cat is clearly the better choice.
My persuasive piece is focused on relaying a point of why cats should be the preferred pet, as opposed to dogs. This is aimed specifically to people who prefer dogs, as there is always the debate of which of the two domesticated animals is more preferable. I prefer cats for their independence and not particularly overbearing nature. Cats are a good animal for when it comes to lap sitting, in my opinion. And unlike small dogs, they are rather quiet.
